PREPARE/ENRICH PROGRAM

The PREPARE/ENRICH programs are designed to assist therapists and clergy in working with premarital or married couples. The Inventories are comprehensive, diagnostically valuable and designed to generate a meaningful dialog between the counselor and the couple. The PREPARE/ENRICH Inventories have been scientifically developed to have high levels of reliability, validity and clinical utility.

The Initial Workshop

• Learn to use the PREPARE/ENRICH Program with premarital and married couples;
• Learn to administer and interpret the five Couple Inventories;
• Learn how to give feedback to couples using the six couple exercises;
• Receive the comprehensive Counselor’s Manual (130 pages);
• Receive all five Inventories (Prepare, Prepare-CC, Prepare-MC; Enrich and Mate).

"What's Next?" Training:
A Refresher Course for Counselors

Dr. Rita DeMaria, in collaboration with Life Innovations, has designed this training to help strengthen premarital education in the community. This workshop is for counselors who are already certified facilitators of the PREPARE/ENRICH inventories but may be uncertain of how to use them, or feel overwhelmed in how to administer and interpret the couple report.

You will learn how to interpret all the PREPARE/ENRICH content areas, how to provide effective feedback to couples you are counseling and preparing for marriage and how to use the couple report with couples and groups. This workshop will also review how to use Individual Revised Scores, Idealistic Distortion Scores and the abuse assessment as well as how to help conflicted and devitalized couples.
