PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Council for Relationships is the pioneer center for the treatment of relationships. Our therapists come form diverse academic backgrounds and have advanced training in individual, couple and family counseling. We offer counseling services and psychoeducational programs at thirteen locations throughout Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey.

Since 1948, Council for Relationships has been offering a post-graduate training program in couple and family therapy, and since 1975 were certified by AAMFT as an approved training center, the first of its kind to educate clinicians and clergy in marital, family and sex therapy.

Training employs an integrative systems approach to treatment that considers the individual, interpersonal and intergenerational issues. Full-time and part-time training options are available. We offer certificate programs and continuing education for clergy and mental health professionals.

Council for Relationships is the Division of Couple and Family Studies, the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Jefferson Medical College.
