INSTITUTE FOR SEX THERAPY
A specialized practice dedicated to resolving sexual problems and enhancing sexual relationships
Each year we treat hundreds of people who come to us seeking help with sexual issues. Some come for a major sexual problem, others for less severe difficulties. In fact, sexual problems are so prevalent, that nearly two thirds of all men and women will experience them at some time during their lives.
At the Institute for Sex Therapy, we have an integrated approach that includes modalities such as behavioral, cognitive, psychodynamic, and systemic therapy in resolving sexual problems. Though treatment can be done on an individual basis, we encourage the couple to work together. Council for Relationships was one of the first to recognize that sexual problems could not be separated from, or treated apart from, the partnered relationship.

The clinicians at the Institute help individuals and partnered relationships with a wide range of sexual problems and issues, such as:

Collaboration
Recognizing the complex nature of these problems, we believe strongly in a collaborative approach. Our evaluation and treatment process includes a consultation with the referring provider (with patient permission) and coordination of treatment when necessary. Our clients have access to a variety of on-site adjunct professionals, as well as community resources.
The Institute for Sex Therapy works in partnership with the Pelvic and Sexual Health Institute. The Pelivic and Sexual Health Institute provides a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of male and female sexual dysfunctions. The aim is to provide comprehensive treatment options that consider the physical, emotional and sexual needs of every patient. Staff consists of Urologists, Nurse Practitioners, Physical Therapists, an Acupuncturist and a Massage Therapist. This on-site medical practice provides any medical evaluation and treatment that may be needed for our clients.
