Esther
Schlessinger-Mita, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania.
She has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology (1988) from
University of Pennsylvania, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology
(1997) from Northwestern University in Chicago.
She worked for several years with her Masters Degree in Philadelphia with children at a Community Mental Health Center, and then specialized her clinical training in graduate school seeing families, couples and adults at The Family Institute in Chicago and a suburban community site.
She focused her dissertation and participated in research on couples in graduate school as well. She worked downtown in a Community Mental Health Center and with a private practice in Southampton, PA until she began working with Council for Relationships in May 2002.
Dr. Schlessinger-Mita’s areas of interest include couples work and family therapy, and depression and anxiety in adults, adolescents and children.
