Lynn McGregor, LSW, MFTStaff TherapistBryn Mawr, Wynnewood and Spring House offices 610-733-1400 Lynn McGregor is a therapist with a comprehensive background in psychology, education, research, design and business, coupled with invaluable life experiences from living around the world. Lynn’s style is warm and approachable, flavored by empathy, freshness, a sense of humor and creativity. Lynn works with young adults whose challenges have changed dramatically in the last decade. She creates an atmosphere of warmth, acceptance and optimism with young adults and their families who are facing social and academic pressures, the arbitrary process of college admissions, the pursuit of autonomy, and finding meaningful work in competitive economic times. Building upon her research at the University of Pennsylvania, Lynn’s approach is current and fresh. Adept at working with clients on self-image assessment and revitalization, Lynn is known as a reinvention specialist for those undergoing transitions due to life stages, family structure, financial status, health concerns, relocation, or working identities. Having made imaginative and resourceful changes in her own life during multiple relocations, she serves as a role model for her clients who want to re-examine themselves or consider different perspectives. This process is both challenging and exciting, as everything is on the table – passions, career, continuing education, nutrition, exercise, sleep and patterns of engagement with others. A cancer survivor herself, Lynn has worked with both The American Cancer Society and the Joan Karnell Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital. She works with individuals and their families who are facing the physical, emotional and practical day-to-day issues of a cancer diagnosis. Lynn works with clients at the time of initial diagnosis, during treatment, and after treatment - to ensure the best outcome for follow-up care and quality of life. Lynn earned her Masters degree in Social Work from the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed her post-graduate certification in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Council for Relationships. Lynn can be reached at 610-733-1400. |
