Michele M. Marsh, PhDDr. Michele Marsh is a Licensed Psychologist and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist who concentrates her practice on helping individuals, couples, and families to enjoy and enhance their relationships. Dr. Marsh is the Director of the Center City, Wynnewood and Bryn Mawr offices of CFR. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor teaching Human Sexuality at Thomas Jefferson University/CFR’s Masters Program in Couple and Family Therapy. Dr. Marsh has over 20 years’ experience helping people to improve their relationships by working on communication skills, conflict resolution, enhanced intimacy and sexuality, and collaborative problem-solving. In addition, she is also an experienced teacher of the couple communication and PAIRS courses, adding those tools to her work with couples and families.

Dr. Marsh’s areas of expertise include anxiety and depression; life cycle transitions including marriage and other committed relationships, separation, divorce and co-parenting; sexuality issues for individuals and couples; children and adolescents; anger management; and loss and bereavement. Dr. Marsh is an EMDR practitioner who uses this modality to help clients resolve traumatic events interfering with current day life challenges and relationships.

Dr. Marsh earned her Master’s Degree in Human Learning and Development and her Doctoral Degree in School and Counseling Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She received extensive clinical training at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center where she worked as a Staff Psychologist for several years. Subsequently she held clinical and training positions at the Presbyterian Children’s Village, concentrating on working with multi-problem families, especially those traumatized by abuse, addictions and violence. Before joining CFR she had a private practice in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Dr. Marsh is an experienced trainer, speaker and supervisor, presenting workshops on relationships, communication, family life, and enhancing connections for both men and women through intimacy-building strategies.
