Brendan Greer, MD, MBA

Dr.
Brendan Greer is the Chief Executive Officer of the Council for
Relationships as well as a practicing psychiatrist and therapist.
In his management role he draws on prior work, education and volunteer
activities. His work experience includes ten years in consulting
and film finance, following an MBA from the Wharton School of
the University of Pennsylvania. He also served as the Treasurer
and Vice President of the boards of directors of two different
New York performing arts organizations.
As a psychiatrist, Dr. Greer works with individuals using both psychotherapy and psychiatric medications. Currently, his practice is psychotherapy-focused and most of his patients are working in a supportive-expressive or dynamic approach; he will use cognitive therapy approaches as well. He specializes in the treatment of patients suffering from the full spectrum of mood and anxiety disorders, including unipolar and bipolar (manic-depressive) illnesses, with special attention to how those illnesses affect patients in their important relationships. He also serves as the Chief Operating Officer at CFR. Dr. Greer is a Clinical Associate in the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Psychiatry, where he received his psychiatric training. His MD degree is from the Cornell University Medical College.
