Ms.
Batoff is a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist
(LMFT). She is a clinical member and approved supervisor of the
American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and associate
member of the American Psychological Association, as well as a
former clinical associate in the University of Pennsylvania's
Department of Psychiatry. She is also a certified PREP (Prevention
and Relationship Enhancement Program) trainer.
After completing her post-graduate training in Marital, Family, and Sex Therapy at the Marriage Council of Philadelphia in 1986, Ms. Batoff was invited to join the Council as a staff therapist. In her 25 years tenure here, she has built a practice which includes individuals, couples, and families, and focuses on areas of rebuilding intimacy, sexuality, the aftermath of affairs, separation and divorce, remarriage and blended families, menopause, postpartum depression as well as depression and anxiety.
Ms. Batoff is committed to helping clients explore and heal from their past and to make healthy changes in their lives. She helps people improve their communication skills, conflict management skills, and their ability to problem solve. She believes that the experience of empathy and compassion helps people feel connected in their relationships.
Ms. Batoff has experience in successfully treating adults with sexual addictions, love addictions, and codependency. She understands the shame, embarrassment, and pain these behaviors can cause the addicts and their families. Ms. Batoff is also a published author, with numerous articles in local publications.
