Meghan Aborn, MA, LMFT

Meghan Aborn, MA, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist
and a certified sex therapist. She is an active member of AASECT
and a clinical member of AAMFT. Meghan graduated with psychology
honors and university honors from the University of Hartford with
a BA in psychology and minors in sociology and women's studies.
She completed her MA in marriage and family therapy at Antioch
New England Graduate School, as well as post-graduate training
in sex therapy from Council for Relationships. Upon completion
of the sex therapy certificate program, Meghan was invited to
join Council for Relationships as a staff therapist at CFR's Institute
for Sex Therapy located in Center City. She has presented on both
a local and national level.
Meghan has built a practice which includes individuals and couples focusing on areas of rebuilding intimacy, rediscovering pleasure and partner connection. She is skilled in working with family of origin roles and dynamics that impact current relationships, as well as working with individuals to resolve longstanding dysfunctional patterns. Understanding that intimacy is incredibly personal, Meghan's first priority is to foster a therapeutic environment that maintains emotional safety and holds vulnerability at a comfortable, yet encouraged pace. Meghan's hope for her clients is that they reflect on themselves with honesty and courage in a collaborative and motivated therapy experience.
