ABOUT US
Council for Relationships, a preeminent non-profit counseling, education and research center, was founded in 1932 as Marriage Council of Philadelphia, and remains the oldest relationship counseling and training center in the country. We provide services for individuals, couples, children and families at fourteen locations throughout the Delaware Valley.
Council for Relationships' diverse staff specializes in areas such as:
- couples/marital therapy
- anger management
- anxiety
- depression
- separation/divorce, blended families, parenting, co-parenting after divorce
- issues related to gender roles
- LGBT concerns
- sex therapy, sex addiction
Our staff includes top psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, other mental health providers and clergy. We offer our counseling services on a sliding fee basis to individuals, couples, children and families in hopes of bringing happier and healthier lives to our clients. We also offer a variety of skills-based relationship educational programs on such topics as:

About Our Fees
CFR senior clinicians set their own fees, generally ranging from $100 to $175 per session. The agency also offers sliding-scale and low-fee clinical care with our talented interns. We do not require insurance. If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, please check with your insurance company about the policies and process you need to follow for reimbursement. We will gladly provide a statement for all services you receive at CFR. Payment is due at time of service.
